Paediatric Allergy
Allergies are on the increase. The British Allergy Foundation says
that 1 in 4 people in the UK suffers from an allergy at some point
in their life.
Up to 30 – 40 % of children are affected by allergies at some
time in their life, and the incidence is on the increase.
Food allergies can develop at any age, although a smaller
percentage of adults suffer from this condition compared with
children.
In children, 3-7% will be diagnosed with a food allergy before
the age of three. This often disappears before adulthood.

Specialists in our Paediatric Outpatients run a regular clinic to
help children with a wide range of allergic disorders
including:
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Eczema
- Food allergies
- Rhinitis
- Sinusitis
Allergy testing is available on site.
