Paediatric Urology

 

The Paediatric Urology consultants at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for all children with urological problems. These include common problems:

 

  • Urinary tract Infections
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Night wetting (enuresis)
  • Undescended Testicles
  • Hypospadias

We are also able to provide more specialists care for children with rare problems such as:

  • Spina bifida
  • Antenatally diagnosed anomalies
  • Neuropathic Bladder
  • Bladder Exstrophy
  • Epispadias

The consultants work closely with an experienced paediatric urology incontinence specialist. With her we have established a specialist clinic to investigate and treat children with a wide variety of “wetting “ problems.

 

In Paediatric Urology, our Consultants work as a team with their chosen Paediatric Anaesthetist and with our Specialist Nursing Staff in the Paediatric Outpatients.

 

Following surgery, the patient’s consultant will liase closely with our highly trained team of Specialist Paediatric Nurses, who monitor and care for the children’s needs. The Resident Medical Officers, dedicated to the paediatric ward, provide constant medical care and cover.
