Your care team
The Patient Care Team of medical specialists,
highly trained nurses, clinical and non-clinical support staff aims
to deliver the best possible patient care.
The clinical and nursing staff at Bupa
Cromwell Hospital work as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring
that each patient receives a comprehensive and personal treatment
plan. Our professional and experienced staff are also on hand to
offer support and advice to patients throughout their treatment and
follow-up.
All clinical and nursing staff are trained in
their area of expertise and are registered with their relevant
professional bodies.
Specialised care
Whilst our clinical staff are trained in all
areas of care, we also ensure that we have highly specialised staff
as appropriate. For example:
- we have a comprehensive Infection Control Team, as well as
infection control trained ward staff
- we have specialist nurses in Wound Care, to ensure patients
requiring complex wound care are looked after by an
expert. They can also advise and support other staff to care
for patients in order to prevent pressure ulcers (bed sores) or
complications resulting from a patient with a wound
- our Cancer Centre has trained specialists in
Palliative Care and Breast Care, giving specific support to
patients undergoing treatment. They can provide counselling
and emotional support for patients and families as well as
specialist clinical care
- our Paediatric Centre has enhanced their service with
a Play Specialist, who supports the nursing staff, children and
parents alike to make their hospital experience a more positive
one
The Hospital has a Patient
Relations Department to help with any special needs and
requests patients or relatives may have either before or during
their stay.
Our Hotel Services Department are available to cater for all
other non-medical aspects of your stay including any specific
dietary requirements. For further information see Facilities and Services.
