Cancerbackup has now merged with Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cancerbackup is a cancer information charity and provides practical, medical, emotional and financial support. Up-to-date cancer information is available specifically written for cancer patients, their families and carers. The site provides a wide range of free publications, many in different languages.

 

The Macmillan Cancer Support site is for those wishing to support or get involved in the charity.

 

CancerHelp UK

This is the patient information website of Cancer Research UK.  It provides a free information service about all cancers and cancer care for people with cancer and their families.

 

Marie Curie Cancer Care

Website provides support links, patient and carer information and explains how Marie Curie Nurses and Hospices can assist those with cancer.

The Prostate Cancer Charity

Privoides excellent, in-depth information and support to men with prostate cancer and their families through publications and a specialist nurse helpline.

 

Breast Cancer Care

Support for breast cancer patients involves an encouragement to communicate, be it learning of others experiences, sharing feelings, or talking to qualified nurses. Access to download or order information and publications.

 

The UK Brain Tumour Society

Charity provides professional practical and emotional support to brain tumour patients and their families. Offers wide range of booklets and leaflets providing information on coping with the disease, types of tumours and treatments. 

 

Bowel Cancer UK

Charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of those affected by bowel cancer, by providing high quality information, support and advice.

 

Roy Castle Lung Foundation

Provides excellent practical and emotional support for patients and all those affected by lung cancer.

 

British Lung Foundation

Publications are free of charge and are written and reviewed by healthcare and other professionals and also by people affected by lung disease.

 

Ovacome A nationwide support group, providing support and helpful information for all those concerned with ovarian cancer.
