Patient Information
Paying for treatment
Insured patients
If you are privately insured, a medical report will be sent to
your Insurance Company asking for cover and once cover has been
agreed, your admission date and time will be confirmed. If your
Insurance Company is an overseas one and is not recognised by this
Hospital you will be asked to deposit the full amount of the
procedure no later than 7 days prior to admission and then claim
the expenses back after treatment. Of course we will ensure that
all the necessary forms you provide us with are completed.
Self-pay patients
If you are funding your own treatment you will be asked to
deposit the full amount of the procedure 7 days prior to admission.
Payment methods are either personal cheque, cash, British bankers
draft, or by bank transfer.
NHS patients
As the Bupa Cromwell Gamma Knife Centre is now NHS accredited
your Doctor will only need to refer you to one of our Gamma Knife
Consultants. Following that consultation we will then apply to your
area Health Authority for funding. If funding is approved you may
go ahead with your treatment here at this Centre.
