Cromwell Hospital comes to aid of The Royal Marsden
Hospital
The Cromwell was quick to offer assistance to
patients and staff of The Royal Marsden following the fire that
recently took place at their Chelsea hospital.
Hume Martin, CEO of The Cromwell said:
“We are pleased to open our doors for Marsden patients until the
necessary repairs are completed and are extremely proud to be in a
position to help a neighbouring hospital”.
The Royal Marsden has leased space
at Cromwell Hospital to accommodate those patients undergoing
complex surgery and those who need CCU facilities.
Following a recent meeting with Mr Martin and
a tour of the facilities at Cromwell Hospital, Ms Cally Palmer, CEO
of The Royal Marsden, expressed her gratitude by saying: “Thank you
to you and your staff for the fantastic response to the aftermath
of the fire and our need to recommission services as fast as
possible for our patients. We really do appreciate the
tremendous amount of work put in by staff at the Cromwell to make
this possible, and it was clear walking round this morning that
both Royal Marsden and Cromwell staff are working well
together. I look forward to working with you for the benefit
of our patients and both our institutions”.
