Haemorrhoidectomy
A haemorrhoidectomy surgery is a procedure to remove haemorrhoids.
What does a haemorrhoidectomy involve?
Haemorrhoidectomy surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and usually takes approximately 45 minutes.
Your surgeon will gently open your bottom using a retractor to have a look at the haemorrhoids. A medical device called a diathermy is then used to remove the haemorrhoidal tissue and any anal skin tags.
