What is cardiology?
Cardiology is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels (the vascular system). Cromwell Hospital is home to a diverse network of leading private cardiologists, who specialise in every aspect of cardiovascular and heart disease.
Treatment is further supported by other healthcare professionals, including clinical nurse specialists, physiologists, radiographers and technicians.
Our expert cardiology team
Among our team of cardiology consultants, we have experts in congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology (the study of the heart's rhythm). We are also partnered with several of London’s leading cardiology groups to further strengthen our quality of care and expertise.
Together with specialist nurses and technicians, our private cardiologists work together in multidisciplinary teams, meeting regularly to find the best treatment for each patient.
