Are your medicines working as well as they should?

Everyone’s body responds differently to medicine. Bupa’s Medication Check uses DNA testing to help identify which medicines are more likely to work best for you, and which might not work.

Why do you need a Medication Check?

Almost 99% of people carry at least one genetic variation that affects their response to certain drugs. This simple test helps identify what works best for you, so you get the right medicine, at the right dose, first time.

What is Bupa's Medication Check?

The Medication Check is a simple, at-home DNA test that analyses how your body processes over 100 commonly prescribed medicines. It’s based on pharmacogenomics—the science of how your genes affect your response to medication.

Why it matters

  • Avoid trial and error: Get the right medicine, at the right dose, first time.
  • Reduce side effects: Understand which medicines may cause unwanted reactions.
  • Improve treatment outcomes: Discover which medicines are most likely to be effective for you.
