About Dr Raffi Kaprielian
Dr Raffi Kaprielian is an interventional cardiologist and clinical lead in Cardiology at West Middlesex.He has a clinical interest in ischaemic heart disease, and perform cardiac catheterisation and coronary angioplasty/stenting procedures on regular lists at Hammersmith Hospital. He has led the development of direct (immediate) angioplasty for patients suffering acute ST elevation MI from the Hounslow and Twickenham population, and developed day case transfer of patients with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndromes to shorten inpatient waits at West Middlesex.
He also has a specific interest in left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure. I established a heart failure service at West Middlesex since my appointment in 2003 and this includes the implantation of multi-site pacemakers and defibrillators in selected patients.
