Mr Dibyesh Banerjee

Mr Dibyesh Banerjee is a senior Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and Hon. Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital Medical School, University of London. He has an Honorary Consultant contract at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London - which allows him to perform complex breast reconstructions jointly with Plastic Surgeons at this site. He is an active member of the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS). His main interest is in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, which is an established surgical sub-specialty encompassing all aspects of breast surgery – combining the best principles of cancer surgery with the best techniques of breast reconstruction and cosmesis. He underwent his Specialist training at the Oncoplastic Breast Unit in Winchester and at the Cardiff Breast Unit in Wales.

His international experience includes Sentinel Node Biopsy training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, NY and a Travelling Fellowship at the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University, Atlanta. Mr Banerjee is a keen surgical trainer and is a member of the SW London Surgical Training Committee. He participates in the National Selection Interviews for ST trainees in General Surgery. He is a Faculty member on various Oncoplastic Breast Surgery training courses.
