Dr Williams completed his specialist training in interventional cardiology in the South East Thames region. He trained in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Sussex County Hospital (Brighton) and King’s College NHS Foundation Trust.
On completion of his training in 2011, he was appointed as Locum Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, prior to obtaining a substantive post as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2013.

As an honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s Hospital School of Medicine, he has taught medical colleagues. He has been the lead for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Cardiology at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals. His dedication to teaching has been recognised and he has been a recipient of a number of teaching excellence awards.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr Williams has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to local research and development teams.
