We’re excited to announce that the Therapies team will soon be relocating to a brand-new, purpose-built space at Lexham Gardens. 

This move marks an important step in Cromwell Hospital’s expansion, bringing our team and services back together under one roof in a modern environment filled with natural light. Spread across the third, fourth, and fifth floors of the Lexham Gardens building, our new department features state-of-the-art therapy equipment and facilities designed to support growth, innovation, and excellence in patient care. 

Every area of the new Therapies department has been thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of our patients, in a setting that promotes wellbeing and recovery. With bespoke spaces for both adults and children, we’re committed to delivering best-practice care and a world-class experience for everyone who walks through our doors. 

What to expect at Lexham Gardens 

Third floor 

  • A spacious reception area with dedicated waiting zones for adults and children 
  • A fully equipped musculoskeletal (MSK) gym and additional private treatment rooms to increase appointment availability 
  • A specialist Hand Therapy room featuring upgraded equipment and a calming environment for wound care. We’re proud to introduce Woodcast, a biodegradable splinting material, as part of our sustainability efforts. 

Fourth floor 

  • A dedicated rehabilitation gym and private treatment rooms with modern equipment, supporting individual and group therapy sessions 
  • A fully equipped Occupational Therapy kitchen and treatment room for:  
  • Cognitive rehabilitation 
  • Upper limb rehabilitation 
  • Functional assessments and activities to support patients returning home from hospital 
  • A specialist oncology and lymphoedema treatment room 
  • A private space for complementary therapies including massage and reiki 
  • Dedicated office space for our team 

Fifth floor 

  • A separate Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy department for children 
  • A secure reception area with a welcoming parenting room for families 
  • Private treatment rooms, including a sensory (Snoezelen) room 
  • A state-of-the-art children’s therapy gym featuring:  
  • Sensory integration equipment 
  • A climbing wall 
  • A sports rehabilitation zone 
  • Dedicated Speech and Language Therapy office and treatment room
