Dr Angela Jones

Dr Angela Jones has been a Consultant in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine for the past 15 years. She qualified in 1998 from Leeds University Medical School, and completed her specialist respiratory and general medical training in the Eastern Deanery (Cambridge). Her research at NHLI and Royal Brompton Hospital London explored whether past asthma events may predict future asthma outcomes.

Dr Jones has extensive clinical experience in the management of airways inflammation (COPD, asthma and non-CF bronchiectasis), chronic cough (including ILD) and unexplained breathlessness. She set up and ran a very large and successful difficult asthma service in a busy NHS DGH for over a decade. She has a broad experience in respiratory medicine, and has run different NHS sub specialised and general respiratory clinics over many years as a consultant. She gained extensive clinical experience as a front-line MADU consultant during the pandemic, managing patients requiring non invasive ventilation (NIV) and looking those with long-term consequences following severe lung infections, such as long-covid.

Throughout her professional career, Dr Jones has been closely involved in medical education fro undergraduate and graduate clinicians. She has been a Clinical and Educational Supervisor, the Lead for Clinical Simulation at Wexham Park Hospital, an Associate Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine for the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) Medical School and a Director of Undergraduate Education for Brunel Medical School at Wexham Park Hospital. Until December 2025, she was the Programme Lead for an MSc course at Brunel Medical School, Brunel University London, leading her team to full GMC accreditation and recognition.

Dr Jones’s dual respiratory and general medicine accreditation means that she approaches all patient cases in a holistic and patient-centric manner.
