Biography
He currently works as a Consultant Urological Surgeon for London Northwest University Healthcare NHS Trust.
He is an Associate Professor for Plymouth University School of Medicine and Dentistry, Honorary Senior Lecturer for Imperial College Medical School, London. and programme lead for Urology for the Rila institute.
He is Clinical Stone lead for his trust and regularly chairs the specialist stone mdt. He regularly performs complex kidney stone operations including pcnl for larger stones. He is pioneering the use of ultra-low dose CT scans at his trust to lower radiation exposure to patients. He has an interest in Artificial Intelligence and its potential role in urology in the future.
He provides advice and treatment of benign prostate problems including prostate surgery and offers prostate cancer screening and investigation of raised psa. He manages general urological conditions in both men and women including urinary infections, blood in the urine, penile (circumcision) testicular problems, erection problems as well as bladder problems.
He has published widely in his field and presents audits and research at local, international and international meetings.
He is an Honorary Associate Professor for Plymouth University School of Medicine and Dentistry. He also holds the post of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College Medical School, London. He is programme lead for Urology for the Rila institute.
He is clinical lead for the kidney stone unit in his NHS trust.
He deals with prostate problems both benign and cancer related offering prostate cancer screening, prostate surgery for benign prostatic enlargement. He manages all general urological conditions in both men and women including urinary infections, blood in the urine, penile and testicular problems as well as bladder problems.
His area of subspecialist interest is kidney stone surgery (keyhole/laser) and (keyhole) kidney surgery. He has published widely in this field and presents audits and research at local, international and international meetings. His main area of interest is in radiological imaging techniques.
