About Professor Brian Gazzard
Senior Reg, Liver Unit, Kings College Hosp. Senior Reg, Gastroenterology Unit, St Bartholomew's Hosp. Cons Physician and Gastroenterology since 1978 at Cheslea and Westminster Hosp. Previously Clinical Director of HIV Unit, Chelsea and Westminster, now Research Director.
Awarded outstanding achievement award for department of health in 2002 and became a C.B.E. for services to medicine in 2011
I have written more than 1,000 peer reviewed papers on gastroenterology HIV and infectious disease
I have held a variety of senior administrative post in the NHS and have chair of the advisory group on AIDS for 10 years
I continue to work in the NHS 6 sessions a week and do 3 sessions as Professor at Imperial college
