Miss Hersha Patel

Miss Hersha Patel is a consultant gynaecologist at Cromwell Hospital. She is also a gynaecological oncology surgeon at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which is associated with the renowned St Luke’s Cancer Centre.

Miss Patel qualified from University of Leicester in 2006 and went on to complete her postgraduate training in general obstetrics and gynaecology in the East Midlands. She has completed a sub-speciality fellowship on gynaecological oncology. She is experienced in performing advanced open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery both for benign and malignant gynaecological pathologies. She is also a BSCCP-certified colposcopist.

Miss Patel has a strong academic background, having completed her PhD in optimising uptake of cervical cancer prevention strategies in high-risk groups. She has multiple peer-reviewed publications.
