About Dr Kushan Karunaratne
Dr Kushan Karunaratne is a consultant neurologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He qualified from King's College London and completed his neurology specialist training at Charing Cross Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
He has specialist expertise in the management of epilepsy and seizures either a primary condition or secondary to traumatic injury, post-surgery and cancer.
He is the first seizure lead for his NHS trust and undertakes complex epilepsy clinics. He routinely sees patients with epilepsy for second opinions to discuss medicinal and lifestyle changes to optimise seizure control. He also sees patients with a broad range of general neurological conditions.
