About Mr Maneesh Ghei

Mr Maneesh Ghei is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive urology, complex endourology and stones. Mr Ghei holds an NHS post as Consultant Urological Surgeon at Whittington Hospital and is the Lead Cancer Clinician for the Department of Urology and Chair of the multidisciplinary meeting.

Mr Ghei completed his medical education and degree (MBBS) at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India and served his residency there in general surgery gaining a vast surgical exposure. His medical training was completed in the UK and at the University of London, he attained his MD (Doctor of Medicine). It was here that he led a globally recognised research trial that focused on the treatment of botulinum toxin in refractory overactive bladders.

Mr Ghei completed his urological training in South Wales where he achieved a fellowship in the Treatment of Urological Stone Disease and Laparoscopy and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Urol).

Mr Maneesh Ghei maintains a keen interest and focus on research and training and currently trains a PhD student in targeted therapies in prostate cancer in focal therapies and cryotherapy in prostate cancer.

Mr Ghei is a big supporter of prostate cancer awareness and the Movember campaign.
