Biography
Biography Dr Mallipeddi qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine and completed specialist dermatology training at St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas' Hospital, London.
In 2005 he was awarded a doctor of medicine degree for research into squamous cell carcinoma in epidermolysis bullosa and has published numerous scientific articles. Between 2006 and 2007 he completed a prestigious procedural dermatology fellowship at UTSouthwestern Medical Centre, Dallas, USA. This provided tremendous experience in Mohs micrographic surgery for complex skin cancers as well as laser surgery. He is one of the few specialists in the UK who has completed advanced training in Mohs micrographic surgery, which is certified by the American College of Mohs Surgery.
He is the skin cancer lead for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Chair of the national UK Mohs micrographic surgery service standards and past president of the British Society for Dermatological Surgery. He also sits on the British Association of Dermatologists national guideline committees for basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and photodynamic therapy.
