Dr Sinharay holds an MD (res) from Imperial College London for his research conducted at the Royal Brompton Hospital, which explored the impact of air pollution on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and ischaemic heart disease, and has published extensively in this area. He continues to contribute to academia as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. Dr Sinharay is closely involved in the medical undergraduate teaching program at Imperial College, London, and has authored and edited medical textbooks for Oxford University Press.
