Dr James Wilson

Dr James Wilson is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (UCL). He brings a wealth of expertise and international experience to his role, having trained at some of the world's leading cancer centres.

Dr Wilson completed his DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford, where his research focused on advancing cancer imaging to tailor chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments more precisely for each patient. His innovative work also explores how new drug therapies can be effectively combined with radiotherapy to enhance treatment outcomes.

Throughout his career, Dr Wilson has committed to pursuing the highest standards of medical training globally, which has taken him to renowned institutions in the UK, such as the Royal Marsden Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, and UCLH, as well as the University of Oxford. His international education includes significant training at prestigious centres like the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, and the South Florida Proton Therapy Institute. His NHS base is UCLH.
