Cromwell Hospital's neuropathology service offers swift diagnosis of nervous system and muscle conditions by examining biopsies from the brain and spinal cord (which are taken by a neurosurgeon).

Our neuropathologists are members of the neuroscience multidisciplinary team (MDT), and their expertise across a range of neurological specialties enables fast diagnosis and optimal management of conditions, including:

  • brain tumours and neuro-oncology
  • peripheral nerve disorders
  • neurodegenerative diseases
  • acquired and genetic muscular disorders
  • epilepsy
