Access to world-class care made simple
Self-pay allows you to have next-day access to leading consultants and a range of treatments.
Why choose to self-pay?
At Cromwell Hospital, we know that waiting for medical treatment can impact on your quality of life – leaving you frustrated and sometimes even in pain. When you self-pay for treatment, you have access to same and next day appointments with leading consultants covering a wide range of treatments.
There are no waiting lists, and the pricing is transparent - we’ll make it really clear what you’re paying for.
Anyone can self pay for diagnostic tests and treatments – you don’t need medical insurance or, in most cases, a GP referral.
Ways to self-pay
We offer a wide range of tests, treatments and surgical procedures, which you can pay for as and when you need them. This means you can have fast access to our consultants and services without the need for private health insurance or a GP referral.
Please note, in most cases your consultant will invoice you separately for their services.
For many of our key procedures, we also offer a range of self-pay packages, including:
- Hospital Packages: these are flexible packages that group standard diagnostics and the procedure into one clear price. Consultant and anaesthetists fees are separate, and any other addition to your treatment is billed separately.
- Fixed Price Packages: these are comprehensive, all-inclusive packages that group everything you may need into one clear price. All of our Fixed Price Packages include diagnostics, procedure, all professional fees, all post-op outpatient care and any other consultant-recommended services as part of you treatment. You don’t need to worry about incurring additional costs.
Our self-pay packages make it clear what you’ll be paying for, when. Please find below a selection of our most popular self-pay packages. If the treatment you’re looking for is not listed below, please get in touch with our self-pay team and we can assist you.
At this stage we will be able to give you a guide price for the treatment you need. Please be aware this may change and the final price will be given to you after you have your initial appointment with you consultant.
We will be able to give you the consultant’s consultation fee at this point as well.
When you attend your initial appointment, your consultant will discuss with you your health history and your treatment options.
They will also book any diagnostic tests you may need prior to your surgery or treatment. These could include X–Rays, MRI scans and blood tests.
After you’ve seen your consultant and undergone any required diagnostics tests, we can then confirm the price for your treatment. If you have further questions, we will be on-hand to answer these and support you in making an informed decision.
If you would like to go ahead with the treatment, we can then book you in at a date and time most convenient for you. We’ll continue to be available to answer questions and support you as best as we can throughout.
We will contact you to take the payment for your treatment five days before you come into the hospital.
