Dementia tests

Early diagnosis of dementia is important. While the disease cannot be cured, treating it in the early stages can slow down its progression.

What happens at the appointment?

Close members of family are welcome to attend the clinic along with the patient, so that the team can build a good picture of the patient's memory loss.

As part of the investigation, patients are given a range of tests including memory testing, blood tests, and brain imaging.

After the results are assessed, we'll put all the information together and reach a conclusion on the cause behind a patient's memory loss.
