Dr Damien Smith

Dr Damien Smith is a consultant in Pain Medicine, specialising in the treatment of chronic pain conditions. He provides a wide range of interventional and non-interventional treatments for this diverse and fascinating patient population. Dr Smith specialises in assessing and treating patients with spinal pain, radicular pain, musculoskeletal pain, headaches and neuropathic symptoms. He provides interventional techniques such as epidural injections, facet joint injections, nerve root therapy, rhizotomy and other injection therapies.

He has been a consultant since 2005 and is now the lead clinician for the Chronic Pain service at his NHS Trust. Dr Smith is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and is interested in medical education. He runs and owns an online pain educational tool which is continually accessed and used by pain consultants in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
