Biography
Mr Attar is a consultant urological surgeon who has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Patient Care in 2018 and again in 2019. He is the Head of the Department of Urology (Clinical Lead) for Urological Services at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in Central London.
He subspecialises in the management of kidney stones using minimally invasive techniques and laser technology. He finished his higher surgical training in London and spent his final year at University College London Hospital, where he received extensive training in treating complex kidney stones using minimally invasive percutaneous techniques (PCNL). He is also part of the Rapid Access Prostate Care Pathway at the Cromwell which provides a one-stop prostate cancer diagnostic service using same-day consultations, MRI scan and Image-Fusion Transperineal biopsies.
Mr Attar is active academically and has published numerous articles. He has presented his work in different international and national meetings and has participated in changing surgical practice. He is passionate about teaching and regularly lectures junior urology trainees, medical students and nursing staff.
