Miss Iona Bell

Iona is an experienced Specialist Dietitian with a long-standing passion for nutrition.

Since leaving university, Iona has developed her practice in the NHS, covering a wide variety of specialities, gaining experience across medical, surgical and chronic conditions. While working for the NHS, Iona developed a special interest in critical care and trauma and went on to become specialised as a critical care dietitian before moving to Cromwell Hospital in May 2022.

Iona is also experienced in gastroenterology where she sees a variety of conditions in the outpatient setting such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. Iona is FODMAP trained and helps to guide and support patients through a low-FODMAP diet, one of the treatment options for IBS. Iona also has a keen interest in gut health and how probiotics and dietary changes can promote the good bacteria in our gut.
