Neurophysiology
Neurophysiology measures how the brain and nervous system are working through various studies or assessments.
Overview
Our consultant neurophysiologists can examine how well your brain and nervous system are working.
At Cromwell Hospital, we offer the very latest tests, from nerve conduction studies to electroencephalogram (EEG), as well as fast and accurate results from our on-site labs.
And as part of our commitment to patient care, we continually invest in the latest technology. This includes a state-of-the-art video-telemetry facility for all types of EEG as well as a portable EEG machine for bedside diagnosis.
Our neurophysiologists are specialists in their area of medicine. Many have trained at top London teaching hospitals and have years of experience behind them.
They work as part of a multidiscipinary team which includes neurologists, neurosurgeons and specialist nurses, to help diagnose and treat a range of neurological conditions.
They also monitor people with disorders affecting the brain including viral encephalitis, meningitis, strokes or dementia.
