London Heart Partnership
The London Heart Partnership is a leading cardiac specialist group based at Cromwell Hospital in South Kensington.
The London Heart Partnership provides comprehensive diagnostic investigations and treatment for all manner of heart conditions. The partnership provides a wide range of both percutaneous (minimal access via the skin and blood vessels) and surgical and treatment options, including pacemaker, ICD (defibrillator) & miniature recorder implantation, coronary angiogram & angioplasty, catheter ablation, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, MID-CABG, total arterial revascularization, mitral valve repair, major aortic surgery, septal myectomy, hybrid AF ablation, and more.
Patients of the London Heart Partnership will initially have a consultation with Dr Kaba, Consultant Cardiologist, or Dr Marciniak, Consultant Cardiologist, to review their symptoms and medical history. From there, patient cases are reviewed collectively by the partnership and a personalised treatment plan devised. If necessary, patients will be referred for cardiac surgery with either Mr Chandrasekaran, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon, or Mr Momin, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon.
Dr Kaba and Mr Momin also run a unique joint hybrid AF ablation clinic and programme for selected groups of patients with persistent atrial fibrillation.

Meet the consultants
Mr Venkatachalam Chandrasekaran, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Mr Venkatachalam Chandrasekaran is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at St George's Hospital, London, with a special interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, MID-CABG (multiple arterial grafts), beating heart coronary bypass grafts, mitral valve repair, atrial fibrillation surgery, and aortic valve replacement and repair.
Mr Aziz Momin, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon
Mr Aziz Momin graduated in medicine from King's College London and undertook surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2013, he was appointed Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at St. George's Hospital and Medical School, London. Mr Momin currently runs a new patient clinic and has a special interest in total arterial grafting, AF surgery, aortic surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
Available for consultations 1pm – 3pm on Tuesdays and ad-hoc.
Dr Riyaz Kaba, Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Riyaz Kaba is a clinical academic Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at St George's, University of London, and Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals, Surrey, with an additional academic appointment at Royal Holloway, University of London. He has a special interest in arrhythmias and hosts the Surrey Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Meeting to enhance the clinical treatment and care of patients with atrial fibrillation and related conditions. Dr Kaba is the chief investigator of the HALT-AF (Hybrid AbLaTion of Atrial Fibrillation) trial.
Available for consultations 6pm – 8pm on Mondays,
8am – 12pm and 6pm – 8pm on Tuesdays,
2pm – 8pm on Fridays,
8am – 1pm on Saturdays,
and ad hoc (appointments via PA).
Dr Maciej Marciniak, Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Maciej Marciniak is an experienced cardiologist, having performed more than 1,000 angioplasties. He currently leads the complex angioplasty and CTO (chronic total occlusion) programmes at East Surrey Hospital. He has a full-time clinical commitment in adult cardiology which includes diagnostic cardiac catheterisation, and coronary angioplasty, as well as implantation of permanent pacemakers.
