Hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery
Hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery or HPB surgery is surgery of the liver, pancreas and biliary system.
About HPB surgery
HPB surgery is normally carried out using ‘keyhole’ techniques (laparoscopic surgery). This is a less invasive type of surgery that reduces the risk of infection and provides a faster recovery time.
HPB surgery often requires the close working of consultants with areas of expertise.
We offer multidisciplinary care in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant diseases affecting the liver, pancreas and biliary tract.
