Self-pay treatment

Why choose to self-pay?

At Cromwell Hospital, we know that waiting for medical treatment can impact your quality of life – leaving you frustrated and sometimes in pain. When you choose to self-pay, you'll be offered appointments with leading consultants, rapid access to diagnostics, quick referrals to onward care, and a wide range of treatments.

You'll gain rapid access to specialist care, and the pricing is transparent – we’ll make it really clear what you’re paying for, when. Anyone can self-pay for diagnostic tests and treatments – you don’t need private health insurance and, in most cases, you don't need a GP referral either. Our consultants and medical teams are ready to help you get back to feeling yourself.

We also offer flexible payment plans for some of our Fixed Price Packages through our finance partner Chrysalis, so you won’t have to delay your treatment or worry about paying up-front.

Ways to self-pay

Pay-as-you-go

We offer a wide range of tests, treatments, and surgical procedures, which you can simply pay for as and when you need them.

Please note, in the case of pay-as-you-go, your consultant will invoice you separately for their services.

Flexible payment plans

Our Fixed Price Packages are available through a flexible payment plan with our finance partner, Chrysalis. If a flexible payment plan is the best option for you, you can use our online calculator to view repayment options and apply directly through the link provided.

Self-pay packages

For many of our key procedures, we also offer a range of self-pay packages, including:

  • Hospital Packages – these are flexible packages that group standard pre-admission tests and the procedure into one clear price. Consultant and anaesthetist fees are separate, and any other addition to your treatment will also be billed separately.
  • Fixed Price Packages – these are comprehensive, all-inclusive packages that group everything you may need into one clear price. All our Fixed Price Packages include pre-admission tests, procedure, professional fees, and post-op outpatient care. The total cost is guaranteed, so you don’t need to worry about incurring any additional costs along the way.

Please note that not every patient will be suitable for a Fixed Price Package. After your initial consultation, your consultant will be able to make the best recommendation based on your medical history and individual treatment needs.

Below is a selection of our most popular self-pay packages. This list is not exhaustive.

If the treatment you’re looking for is not listed below, please get in touch with our Self-Pay team and we can assist you.

At this stage, we will be able to give you a guide price for the treatment you need. Please be aware this may change and the final price will be given to you after you have your initial appointment with your consultant.

We will be able to give you the consultation fee at this point as well.

You can phone us on +44 (0)20 7244 4886 or email us at cromwellselfpayteam@cromwellhospital.com.

When you attend your initial appointment, your consultant will discuss with you your health history and your treatment options

They will also book any diagnostic tests you may need prior to your surgery or treatment. This could include Xrays, MRI scans, and blood tests

After you’ve seen your consultant and undergone any required diagnostics tests, we can then confirm the price for your treatment.

If you have further questions, we will be on-hand to answer these and support you in making an informed decision.

If you would like to go ahead with the treatment, we can then book you in at a date and time most convenient for you. We’ll continue to be available to answer questions and support you as best as we can throughout.

We will contact you to take the payment for your treatment five days before you come into the hospital
